108 New Curriculum|Literacy Science|Problem Solving|Project Practice

The scientific demonstration and creative concept of new learning "STEAM era" has arrived, and a good foundation needs to be laid from an early age!

🌟from the United States: Cultivate children's critical thinking, creativity, engineering, science, and artistic innovation abilities from an early age!

🌟Learning is no longer static: Students learn spontaneously, cultivate logical analysis ability from an early age, and actively perceive problems and form analysis. Let subjects and life be closely integrated, train thinking and creation, and use both left and right brains together!

🌟Learning becomes fun and efficient: In the classroom, it is no longer just the teacher's explanation, through the division of labor and discussion in the group, we can jointly find out theories and answers to the core issues!

🌟creative learning environment: Use hands and experiments, use hands and brains at the same time to train mathematical calculations, build scientific models, focus on problem situations, and find out the mysteries of life and the universe from life and disciplines!

🌟Children who aspire to become scientists, engineers, biologists, physical chemists, physicians and other majors should not miss it!

🌟Suitable for preschool, kindergarten, primary school and middle school: The subject gathers the five elements, the learning is more complete, the foundation of creation and invention is laid from an early age, and the care of connecting people and life is more!

"STEM" (Science Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) proposed by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the report "Shaping the Future World" in 1996 is a set of education that emphasizes learner-centered Ways to actively cultivate students' independent thinking and creativity.

In the United States, STEM and programming education have been actively promoted and implemented a few years ago, and children have begun to build computational thinking in the kindergarten stage. Taiwan only started in the past one or two years, from children to elementary and middle schools, and gradually introduced STEM courses.

In 1996 by the National Science Foundation
Presented in the "Shaping the World of Tomorrow" report

The origin of STEAM

STEAM is composed of five words, corresponding to its cross-field comprehensive subject connotation:

Why learn STEAM

Project Implementation|Creative Innovation|Problem Solving

According to the World Economic Forum's 2016 "Future of Work" report, in the next five years, 2 million new jobs will be created around the world, all in STEM fields such as computers, mathematics, architecture and engineering. At the same time, 7 million jobs will be replaced by machines. STEAM can train children to learn for the whole person, cultivate the ability to control and surpass changes, and will not be replaced by robots. In the future, STEAM will become the key goal of learning and changing lives.

STEAM emphasizes hands-on, active learning! Humans are actually inventors, constantly inventing and creating new things, and then promoting the evolution of human civilization! To change the cramming-style education in the past, STEAM learning also reminds parents and children to pick up the instinct of independent learning, put life and science, observation and thinking as the key points, and through continuous hands-on experiments and innovations, STEAM has become an interesting and innovative course. Subjects that inspire motivation to learn!

Welcome to
STEAM scientific literacy series

Learning science should not stop at learning to understand problems, "scientific literacy" can be implemented to solve problems!

What is "scientific literacy"?

Darwin, the biologist who proposed the theory of evolution, once boarded the Beagle, crossed the Atlantic Ocean, South America, crossed the Pacific Ocean, entered the Indian Ocean, bypassed the Cape of Good Hope in Africa, returned to the Atlantic Ocean and returned to England. When he sailed into the Galapagos Islands on the Beagle, Darwin found that there was not much difference between the birds on the island, but there were obvious differences in the thickness of the beak and beak, and the creatures in the Galapagos Islands were very different from those on the South American continent. Similarly, he suspects that island life may have descended from the same ancestors, evidence that also supports the theory of evolution.

If you think about it carefully, isn't this process a concrete manifestation of "scientific literacy"? The ability to observe, hypothesize, experiment, analyze, and draw conclusions is an important part of scientific literacy!

Beden STEAM scientific literacy series classes include STEAM scientific literacy classes and EA-Tsingda STEAM certification classes. Through practical life problems or activities, adopt ad hoc teaching method to train children's [problem-solving ability], including the above-mentioned steps of observation, hypothesis, experiment, analysis, and drawing conclusions, so as to cultivate children's disassembly and analysis of problems, Demonstrate true scientific literacy.
